How to get high scores in Exams?

  • Attend consultation lectures (revision) – Usually professors organize 1 or 2 hours of exam preparation lecture. Since during this lecture, they inform you about the main concepts that will be part of the exam, model questions or exercises, it would be good to be present, this can help you in repeating the subject.

  • Practice with past tests (past exams) – Practice makes perfect! Choose your previous years theses from the professors, as you will be able to revise the chapters and concepts of the subjects, identify the shortcomings or solution problems, etc.

  • Don’t study for long periods of time – Studies have shown that the human brain can stay focused for up to 40 minutes. So, if you study for 2 to 3 hours without a break, the chances are that the result will not be effective. We suggest you create a study plan, eg: study for 20-30 minutes, then take a break for coffee, a walk, or sports. After rest repeat this as a routine. Your scores will be higher!

  • The T.E.A. method

In the social sciences and humanities, three key elements are used to study:

T = Theory (applied to exam question)

E = Example / Example (Example / case studies illustrate the theory in practice and help support your answer)

A = Author (Researchers, professors, writers, experts, etc. related to the topic of the question)

This way, you will have a package for every concept and chapter of the subject.

  • Eat healthy, do physical activities – Your brain while studying needs the necessary nutritional elements to stay energetic. Among the suggested foods are salad, fish, eggs, etc. Do physical activity, such as: gym, swimming, running, etc. This way you will feel energetic and physical activity will help cognitive processes. Try to wake up early in the morning, because studies show that this schedule is more effective in terms of brain concentration.
